What is an Annuity? An annuity is a long-term, tax-deferred vehicle designed for retirement. Earnings are taxable as ordinary income when distributed and may be subject to a 10% additional tax if withdrawn before
age 59½.

The Multi-Strategy and Strategic4 Indexes are proprietary indexes of stock performance created by Jackson to add the opportunity for greater diversity. The underlying stocks are selected according to five different strategies (for the Multi-Strategy Index®) or four different strategies (for the Strategic4 Index®), which are reapplied every year in January based on their predetermined selection criteria. Not available in all states. The Strategic4 Index is available on Jackson AscenderPlus Select only.
