Standard Benefits

  • Guaranteed Minimum Value: The Guaranteed Minimum Value earns between 1%-3% annual growth, declared at contract issue, on 87.5% of your premium adjusted for withdrawals. However, because Jackson's MarketProtector guarantees the contract's ending value is never less than the initial premium (assuming no withdrawals or add-on benefit charges), you would receive no less than your initial premium at the end of the Indexed Option Period.
  • Extended Care Waiver:†† You or your joint owner will become eligible for this benefit beginning in the second contract year. If you or your joint owner is confined to a nursing home or hospital for 90 consecutive days by medical necessity, you may access up to 100% of the Contract Value free of withdrawal charges. The Extended Care Benefit is subject to a maximum withdrawal of $250,000. MVA may apply.
  • Terminal Illness Waiver:‡‡ You or your joint owner will become eligible for this benefit beginning in the second contract year. If you or your joint owner is diagnosed with a terminal illness expected to result in death within 12 months, you can access the Contract Value without charge. The Terminal Illness Benefit is subject to a maximum withdrawal of $250,000. MVA may apply.
  • Guaranteed Death Benefit: In the event of your death, your beneficiaries will receive the Contract Value. They may elect a lump sum payment or a guaranteed life income. If you prefer, you may specify your beneficiaries' payout option in advance. (Preselected Death Benefit is available for nonqualified and IRA contracts only.)
  • Required Minimum Distributions (RMDs): After age 70½, the owner-required RMD for this contract may be taken from your qualified MarketProtector contract free of withdrawal charges and MVA, even if the amount exceeds the 10% free withdrawal provision.§§
  • Free 10% Withdrawals: Each year, you may withdraw up to 10% of your Accumulation Value free of withdrawal charges and MVA. If a single withdrawal exceeds 10% of the Accumulation Value, the entire amount in excess of the free amount will be subject to withdrawal charges and MVA. The free withdrawal is not cumulative from year to year. If IncomeAccelerator is elected, withdrawals under the 10% free withdrawal provision but in excess of the lifetime income payment allowed will result in future guaranteed lifetime income payments being reduced.

Add-on Benefit

IncomeAccelerator:
  • IncomeAccelerator, an add-on Lifetime Income Benefit, guarantees income each year for as long as you live. It also provides the opportunity to grow your income while giving you the flexibility of starting or stopping payments to fit your unique needs. IncomeAccelerator can be canceled on any Indexed Option Anniversary.
Quick Facts:
  • Issues ages: 50-80
  • Election: at issue or on any Indexed Option Anniversary during the Indexed Option Period
  • Minimum premium: $25,000 (or Accumulation Value if elected after issue)
  • Indexed Option periods: 7- and 10-year only
  • Annual Charge: 1.25% (single life option) or 1.40% (joint life option)
    • The total annual charges are calculated based on the Accumulation Value after interest is credited on the Indexed Option Anniversary. Jackson reserves the right to prospectively increase the charge on each fifth Indexed Option Anniversary up to 0.20%, subject to a maximum annual charge of 2.50% (2.80% for joint life options). ††State variations may apply. The owner will be eligible for this waiver of withdrawal charge after the first contract anniversary. If the owner or joint owner is confined to a nursing home or hospital for 90 consecutive days by medical necessity, the owner may access up to 100% of the Contract Value free of withdrawal charges. Limited to $250,000. All contract values will be reduced proportionately. A payment under the Extended Care Waiver is payable only once, regardless of any subsequent confinement. MVA may apply.

‡‡State variations may apply. The owner will be eligible for this waiver of withdrawal charge after the first contract anniversary If the owner or joint owner is diagnosed with a terminal illness that is expected to result in death within 12 months, the owner may access up to 100% of the Contract Value free of withdrawal charges. Limited to $250,000 All contract values will be reduced proportionately. A payment under the Terminal Illness Waiver is payable only once, regardless of any subsequent diagnosis. MVA may apply.

§§The RMD for this contract may be taken from the qualified MarketProtector contract free of withdrawal charges and MVA, even if the amount exceeds the 10% free withdrawal provision. The RMD withdrawal value is based on the Contract Value plus the value of any additional benefits. If a withdrawal taken before the end of the Initial Indexed Option Period exceeds the greater of the RMD requirement or the 10% free withdrawal benefit, the excess amount withdrawn will be subject to withdrawal charges and MVA.
