About the Alliance for Lifetime Income

Jackson and the Alliance for Lifetime Income Respond to the Changing Retirement Landscape

Today's retirement is different than previous generations. What we expect of retirement, how long we will likely live in retirement, and perhaps most importantly – how we save for and fund retirement – has fundamentally changed.

Finding ways to cover the gap between what we'll need in retirement, what we'll get from Social Security, and what we have saved, is a serious concern for many Americans. In fact, the number one fear of people approaching retirement is that they'll run out of money.1

Jackson's Perspective

Jackson believes that the retirement planning industry can help turn that fear and worry into confidence and control. We have led the industry charge to create new, innovative educational tools and resources to increase awareness and understanding about the need for protected lifetime income, and that annuities can be an important component of retirement planning. Explore our tools and quiz available at and our educational articles and thought leadership content at the Financial Freedom Studio.

The Alliance for Lifetime Income

The Alliance for Lifetime Income's mission is to educate Americans about the importance of protected lifetime income solutions by building a platform of new online and offline content, tools, thought leadership, events and new terminology designed to simplify this often complex topic in ways that empower Americans to take action.

At Jackson, we are proud to be a founding member of the Alliance, and a co-chair of its Board of Directors. We are honored to be part of an organization dedicated to creating comprehensive planning conversations that balance the need to continue to grow (accumulation) with the need to protect (guaranteed income).

Because at Jackson, we believe that every American deserves the opportunity to live life well. We are committed to helping Americans achieve financial freedom so they can live the lives they want in retirement.

We invite you to join us in the journey.

What is an Annuity? An annuity is a long-term, tax-deferred vehicle designed for retirement. Variable annuities involve investment risks and may lose value. Earnings are taxable as ordinary income when distributed and may be subject to a 10% additional tax if withdrawn before age 59½.
