What is RSS?

RSS stands for "Rich Site Summary" or "Real Simple Syndication". RSS is an XML-based format that allows you to easily keep track of new content as it is posted on your favorite Web sites. RSS content can be read using free, downloadable software known as an "RSS feed reader", or within a Web browser that supports RSS feeds. The RSS reader checks your subscribed feeds regularly for new content and delivers them to you in an organized format.
