Jackson National Life Insurance Company® ("Jackson®") has a long and successful track record of providing advisers with the products, tools and support they need to design effective retirement solutions for their clients. With $173.6 billion in total assets (IFRS)1, Jackson is a leading provider of retirement solutions. The company sells variable, fixed and fixed index annuities, and institutional products. Through its subsidiaries and affiliates, Jackson also provides asset management and retail brokerage services.

 

Financial Product & Service Offering

Jackson consists of three insurance companies, which are all separate statutory entities: Jackson National Life Insurance Company ("Jackson"), Jackson National Life Insurance Company of New York® ("Jackson of NY®") and Brooke Life Insurance Company®.

Jackson offers variable, fixed and fixed index annuities, and institutional products for customers in all US states except New York. Through subsidiaries and affiliates, the company also provides asset management and retail brokerage services. Products available for purchase in New York through Jackson of NY include variable and fixed annuities. Brooke Life offers fixed annuities for sale through certain financial institutions in the state of Michigan.

 

Distribution

Jackson has two primary distribution outlets: Jackson National Life Distributors LLC and the Institutional Products department.

  • Jackson National Life Distributors (JNLD) markets and wholesales Jackson's retail products (annuities) to independent and regional broker-dealers, wirehouses, independent agents and financial institutions.
  • The Institutional Products Department distributes Jackson's institutional products (medium-term notes, funding agreements and guaranteed investment contracts) to investment banks, institutional investors and pension plan providers.

Curian Capital, LLC is a subsidiary of Jackson that serves as its asset management arm, and provides a variety of investment solutions including separate accounts, mutual funds and ETFs through a sophisticated managed account offering. Curian’s technologically advanced platform is designed to enhance advisor efficiency and profitability, while offering clients a highly customized, institutional-quality investment management solution.

 

Jackson National Asset Management, LLC®

Jackson National Asset Management, LLC is a subsidiary of Jackson that provides investment advisory, transfer agency, fund accounting and administration services to more than 100 funds and separate accounts that support Jackson's variable products and employee 401(k) retirement plan.2

 

National Planning Holdings®, Inc.

National Planning Holdings is Jackson's affiliated network of four independent broker-dealers: INVEST Financial Corporation®, Investment Centers of America®, Inc., National Planning Corporation® and SII Investments, Inc.®

 

PPM America, Inc.

PPM America is an asset manager that provides investment services for a variety of institutional mandates and retail products sourced primarily from affiliates, including Jackson as well as affiliates in the UK and Asia. PPM America's expertise spans across a wide range of fixed-income and equity asset classes, with an emphasis on fundamental company and security research.
